Qwen releases Max-class model weights

The Qwen team released Qwen 3.8 weights on August 12, 2026, describing its first open-weight Max-class model and stronger long-running agent capabilities. The downloadable language model is distinct from the hosted Qwen 3.8 Max service. The downloadable text model uses a custom Qwen3.8-Max licence.
